DESCRIPTION

Get a lifetime of wear in our SAUSALITO handcrafted harness leather ring belt. Made from the the original 1960's leather belt design and adhering to Dad's design, Harry Brulport's factory specs and other shops of the time were handcrafting these sturdy ring belts. The belts were worn by actors and musicians, as well as thousands of the youth across America. Wildly popular at the time, a generation that we now know as the baby boomers, reshaped America's vision for the future in these belts. For this reason we stayed true to the many unique design aspects of the vintage originals. We felt these ring belts needed to be supple and moldable as well as get better with age. Wickett & Craig® has not changed their harness leather recipe in over 75 years and our SAUSALITO original full grain Double Ring Belt aims to being the most authentic example of any double ring belt handcrafted today.

Wickett and Craig® harness leather was a perfect choice for the leather and the brass rings we chose have been cast in high quality. At 1 1/2" wide, we make the iconic leather belt the original way.  The end is thinned, glued and stitched together using heavy duty thread.  Flipping the leather is a labor intensive step for us in the shop. Many overseas factories usually just fake the top grain on the bottom side.

But I know, and now so do you,  ...it was not done that way.
